How do I play? The board is a 3×3 grid of 3×3 tic-tac-toe boards. On your turn, tap any cell in the active small board. Your move sends your opponent to the matching small board next turn. Win three small boards in a row on the big grid to win the game.
If you're stuck, tap "How to Play" on the main menu — it walks you through it in a guided first game.
How do I undo a move? Tap the undo button (the curved arrow) in the top-right of the game screen. Undo only works against the computer, not in two-player mode, and only when it's your turn.
My saved game disappeared. Saved games are stored locally on your device. They can be lost if you reinstall the app, reset your device, or delete the app's data through iOS settings. There is no cloud sync in v1 — iCloud syncing is planned for a future update.
Are stats synced across devices? Not in v1. Statistics live on the device they were played on. If you play on iPhone and iPad, you'll have separate stats on each. iCloud sync is on the roadmap.
How do I play the tutorial again? Two ways: • Main menu → "How to Play" • Settings → "How to Play"
Both restart the interactive tutorial from step 1.
The AI is too easy/too hard. Try a different difficulty. Tap "New Game" and pick Easy, Medium, or Hard. Hard plays a deep search with a tuned heuristic — most new players lose to it consistently until they've played 20+ games.
Can I play with a friend? Yes — pick "Two Players" when starting a New Game. You'll pass the device back and forth.
Why is the AI taking so long? Hard difficulty uses a deeper search than Easy or Medium. On an older device, the computer might take a full second or two to move. You'll see a pulsing chip and animated dots while it's thinking.
Is there multiplayer over the internet? Not in v1. Online multiplayer via Game Center is on the roadmap for a future update.
