Common questions

How do I log my first entry?

Open the App. On the Journal tab, tap the large card that says "How are you feeling?" — it takes you through six quick steps (severity, location, symptoms, triggers, context, review) and saves your entry. The whole flow takes about 20 seconds.

If you've already logged an entry today, the card changes color and shows today's severity. Tap it again to edit.

Can I log a migraine for a past day?

Yes. Two ways:

  1. In the log flow, on the "Context" step there's a "When" picker. Set it to any past date and time.
  2. On the Journal home screen, tap any cell in the calendar heatmap. If that day has no entry, the log flow opens pre-filled to that date. If it already has an entry, you can edit it.

What does the dial color mean?

The dial color reflects the severity band you're in:

The dial also pulses gently when you cross severity 7. This is intentional — your input is still going through, the pulse is just a visual acknowledgment.

When do "Insights" show up?

The Insights tab needs at least three logged entries before it displays trends and correlations. Once you cross that threshold, you'll see:
